A look into the role Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland and supplies goods to over 450 stores across various brands such as SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. The Purpose of the role: Working as part of a team of HR Advisors and supported by a group administration function you will deliver a high quality, proactive and efficient HR service to employees and line managers working across a variety of functions such as retail stores, IT, facilities services, logistics (warehouse & transport), finance, sales and marketing, property and print. You will be the professional point of technical expertise for line management in matters of HR policy and best practice and employment law, providing advice and guidance as required to ensure the Company meets its employment obligations. Working as HR Advisor you will: Handle Employment Relation cases including supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings, assisting with managing sickness absence monitoring and providing support during periods of business changes (reorganisations, TUPE, working practices etc.) Work with L&D on people management training solutions Contribute to the development of effective employee communications Contribute to the promotion of equality of opportunity within the Company and assist with the implementation of relevant equality legislation Contribute to the development and maintenance of effective people information via HR Systems e.g manpower, absence, turnover etc. Coach and counsel line managers to be effective People Managers inspiring them with confidence to handle employee relations matters To undertake projects in key HR areas as agreed with the People Services Manager. Skills for Success Joining us as HR Advisor the minimum criteria youll need is: A minimum of 2 Years experience of confidently operating in an HR Advisory role within a fast-paced, customer focused environment CIPD qualified (or working towards) Competent standard of employment law knowledge and ability to transfer into practice Full, clean driving license and access to your own vehicle. The Attributes youll need include: Excellent relationship building skills Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload Effective communication skills, confident with people at all levels Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and business needs. Strong organisational skills and focus on accuracy. It is Desirable if you have: Experience within the retail / FMCG / logistics sector Are we right for you? This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
