Embedded Software Engineer: Developing Real-Time Embedded Seeker Software for Advanced Missile Systems

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an exceptional Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team of hardware, software, and firmware specialists. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge embedded seeker software for missile systems.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be involved in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for complex real-time software embedded in missile sub-components. Your expertise will be crucial in defining the architecture, guiding design choices, and ensuring comprehensive testing and validation.

Essential Requirements:
* Security Clearance: Must be a British citizen or dual UK national, eligible or currently holding SC clearance
* Expertise in Real-Time Embedded Systems: Proven track record in creating hard real-time embedded software solutions
* Proficiency in C Programming: Exceptional skills in C programming, with an in-depth understanding of its use in real-time applications
* Knowledge of Communication Protocols: Strong familiarity with protocols including SPI, UART, Ethernet, and PCI-Express
* Software Design Familiarity: Understanding of software design methodologies such as UML
* Analytical Skills: Capability to evaluate system performance and ensure effective integration
* Experience Across SDLC: Practical experience throughout the entire software development lifecycle
Benefits:
* Base Salary: Up to £70,000 (dependent on experience)
* Annual Bonus: Circa £2,500
* Overtime: Optional paid overtime – flat rate (1.25)
