KASE Care are looking for an experienced care assistant for a homecare package based in Stanstead Abbotts in Hertfordshire.
Hourly pay: £13 per hour

Candidates must be over 25 (due to insurance purposes) and have a full UK driving license.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9am-2pm. Tuesdays are 9am-9pm.
Job Overview:
The KASE Care Team is seeking compassionate, proactive, and organised individuals to provide personalised support for a service user with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). The role involves assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, facilitating outings, and providing companionship while ensuring the service user’s comfort and independence are prioritised. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of someone who values social engagement and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administrative Support: Assist with managing personal and household admin tasks, such as correspondence, scheduling, and paperwork.
* Provide support with banking and financial tasks, ensuring confidentiality and security.
* Social and Recreational Support: Accompany the service user on walks in the village and outings to places such as the cinema. Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere during activities, ensuring the service user's comfort and enjoyment.
* Communication Assistance: Support the service user in expressing their needs effectively, particularly when using a microphone device for speech amplification. Actively listen and adapt communication style to suit the service user’s preferences.
* Coordination and Collaboration: Liaise with the Blue Bird care team to ensure seamless support and care continuity. Maintain clear records and updates on tasks completed and activities undertaken.
* Safety and Well-being: Provide physical assistance when required during outings, ensuring safety and accessibility. Be attentive to the service user's needs, adapting support as required while respecting their independence.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Essential: Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Excellent organizational skills for managing admin tasks and activities. Strong communication skills, including the ability to support individuals using assistive devices. Ability to work independently while being part of a wider care team.
* Desirable: Previous experience working with individuals with Multiple Sclerosis or similar conditions. Knowledge of mobility aids and accessibility considerations. First Aid certification and/or moving and handling training.
