Job Description Share Share Share Behaviour Support Location: Chesterfield Salary: £90 to £110 per day Start Date: ASAP GSL Education are excited to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Support to work in schools across Chesterfield. As a Behaviour Support, you will aim to create a positive learning environment for students facing behavioural challenges. Your role will involve implementing strategies and interventions to support students in developing essential skills such as emotional regulation, social interactions, and appropriate behaviour. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to create tailored support plans, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally. Responsibilities Of a Behaviour Support Assist students in line with the curriculum and syllabus while collaborating with teachers to prepare lessons tailored to various key stages. Providing one-to-one or small group support for students, ensuring they receive the guidance needed to excel in their studies. Working closely with students who have SEND, SEN, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioural needs, helping them integrate into the classroom and develop essential skills. Helping in classroom behaviour management, providing support that promotes positive outcomes for all students. Monitoring and assessing students’ behaviour, providing feedback to teachers, parents, SENCOs, and pastoral teams. Requirements For a Behaviour Support NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education or other relevant degree. Previous experience as a Behaviour Support or in a similar role, preferably within an educational setting. Strong understanding of the national curriculum and experience working with students at different key stages. Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed. A valid DBS registered on the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for one.
