Location: Ellesmere Port - 1 day a week hybrid
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our Client:
We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm, recently appointed to the Police Federation Panel, representing police officers who have suffered injuries in the course of their duties. The firm is committed to providing expert legal support to their clients, ensuring that police officers receive the best possible outcome for their personal injury claims.
As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a Personal Injury Solicitor with a focus on Employer's Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims, to join their expanding team.
Role Overview:
The firm is looking for an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor (minimum 3 years PQE) who will manage a caseload of EL/PL claims from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be confident in handling both fast and multi-track cases, and have proven experience in litigation, particularly within the context of personal injury law. You will be working on cases involving police officers injured in the course of their employment, so an understanding or interest in the challenges faced by law enforcement professionals is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of EL/PL personal injury cases from inception to conclusion, including both fast-track and multi-track claims.
2. Provide expert legal advice to clients, including police officers who have sustained injuries in the workplace.
3. Take ownership of litigation, including drafting pleadings, preparing court bundles, and representing clients at hearings.
4. Conduct negotiations and settlement discussions, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, the Police Federation, and other stakeholders.
6. Keep clients updated regularly on case progress and ensure they are informed throughout the process.
7. Work closely with other team members and departments, contributing to the overall success of the personal injury team.
8. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and the firm's policies and procedures.
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years PQE in personal injury law, with a focus on EL/PL claims.
2. Proven experience in handling a full caseload of fast-track and multi-track personal injury cases.
3. Strong litigation skills and a confident approach to court proceedings.
4. Experience in representing clients from a variety of sectors, ideally with exposure to public sector clients such as police officers.
5. Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to empathise with clients and build lasting relationships.
6. Ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
7. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
8. A keen interest or knowledge in the unique challenges faced by police officers and public sector employees would be an advantage.
Why Join This Firm?
1. Be part of a growing firm with an excellent reputation in personal injury law.
2. Opportunity to represent police officers who have been injured in the line of duty, making a real difference to their lives.
3. Competitive salary and benefits package.
4. A supportive, dynamic work environment that values professional development and work-life balance.
5. Regular training and development opportunities, with the potential for career progression.
If you are an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor with a passion for EL/PL claims and are looking for a new challenge with a firm that is making a positive impact in the legal industry, we would love to hear from you.
