In your new role as Activity Assistant, you will: The Activity Assistant will establish health and wellbeing partnerships in order to develop a wide range of activities and services which will enhance, monitor and promote health and wellbeing for older people living within Scheme and those accessing the healthy living suite. The role will encourage service users to achieve positive outcomes in line with Health and wellbeing agendas, this will include a wide range of leisure, recreational, educational and health promotion activities. As Activity Assistant, you will ideally have: Be able to set up and run an activities programme for older people. An understanding of the needs of older people. A commitment to a service which provides support to vulnerable individuals which is respect the rights of individuals. A commitment to promoting independence, decision making and choice Good communication/ networking skills.
