We are looking for an enthusiastic & dedicated part-time adult infection prevention lead to join the Cardiovascular and Thoracic Education team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS). You will be an integral part of the Education team helping support the delivery of the divisional education programmes and mandatory training such as infection prevention, mask fit testing, ANTT & hand hygiene.
This is a great opportunity to be involved with the delivery of training to new and existing staff, whilst working in partnership with the care group education team, the health and safety lead and trust infection prevention team to improve practice and service delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The role will include: -
The delivery of mandatory training such as infection prevention, mask fit testing, ANTT & hand hygiene
Undertaking activities to support Division D such as IV study days & Trust wide inductions
The coordination & submission of monthly audits and governance reports
Working with the Health and safety lead, ward leaders and matrons during IP investigations
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Senior Band 5/6 experience in cardiovascular and thoracic or related specialty
Extensive post registration experience
Experience with developing nursing practice
Experience of educating and developing staff
