Karla Otto London is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to work in the agency’s VIP department.
Key Responsibilities
The Assistant, VIP Services is an entry level public relations position that works closely with the VIP, Events and PR teams to fulfill client needs. The Assistant, VIP Services will work with the Global VIP team to ensure smooth running of the division in daily tasks and as it relates to the entire agency. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or journalism. The candidate should have strong writing, research and organization skills, be willing to adjust to a variety of client personalities and be willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time. Should have a can-do attitude and be a team player.
Assist and working closely with the SVP and VIP Services teams:
* Extensive sample trafficking (organizing sample returns and send outs)
* Updating contact database
* Conducting and completing market and industry research
* Prepare and distribute VIP media alerts and client notifications
* Assist with VIP guest list invitations for client events
* Assist with VIP guest attendance at client events, greeting guests at the door, chaperoning photographer and managing car booking etc
* Compile reports for clients as requested
* Responsible for maintaining and creating VIP clippings book, along with counterparts in the other Karla Otto offices
* Undertake administrative tasks such as manage VP and VIP Services calendars; assist with booking travel for VP, VIP Services, Press and Clients as needed, internal reports and filings etc.
Key Attributes
* Minimum of at least 6 month - 1 year experience as public relations intern
* The candidate should have strong communication skills (both written and oral), research, organization and multitasking skills
* Be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
* Accomplishes tasks accurately, thoroughly, and with a keen eye for detail both with quantitative and qualitative data
* Willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to complete a project accurately and on time
* Highly motivated and enthusiastic
* Strong work ethic
* Must be efficient in Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, Fashion GPS
