Our client is urgently seeking an experienced catering assistant to perform general kitchen duties within the Catering Department involving fresh food preparation, cooking, cleaning, pot washing, vending and customer service. Working as a team to a high standard and in compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations. Principal Accountabilities: 50% Food preparation to include salad bar, cooking, breakfast, buffet work. With the aid of and use of preparation machines. 25% Deliver tea & coffee, buffets. 15% Serve food at lunch time. Be able to operate the till, and some cashing up procedures. 10% Cleaning, and filling out relevant records, follow Safer Food Better Business procedures. Education, Experience, Skills: Minimum Required Qualifications • Catering experience • Strong communication skills • Educated to GCSC Level for maths and English • Be aware of Health and Safety regulations and HACCP. Preferred Qualifications • N.V.Q or City & Guilds Other relevant information: Some manual handling and lifting required. Own transport is essential due to location. This is a position for 30 hours over four days so 8.30 - 3.30 Monday to Thursday. Please only apply if those hours work for you as they don't have flexibility I'm afraid.
