The role of a behaviour mentor is to provide support and sustained change to students who need help overcoming barriers to learning and attendance. It is important to understand the school’s ethos and values and to model this to the children in all aspects of school life, thereby being a good role model. You will have high expectations for behaviour and expect the children to make considerable progress. You will create and implement strategies to promote positive outcomes and provide ongoing support, guiding children to make the right choices. Part of the role will involve developing a 1:1 mentoring relationship with the children receiving support, working closely with them to meet their behaviour targets.
The Primary provision seeks energetic educators who can inspire and motivate children to develop a love for learning. The children who attend this school have complex social, emotional, and mental health needs; therefore, staff must understand how best to support them. The school offers an exciting curriculum both indoors and outdoors.
