Working Hours Monday to Thursday 08:30 – 17:00 and Fridays 8:30 – 16:00, who doesn’t love an early finish on a Friday? Your Duties Will Include Undertake financial accounting activities for month end including accruals and prepayment journals and reviewing performance versus budget Perform monthly reviews of TBs and feed into the consolidation system. Review the output of the consolidation process Perform reconciliations for various balances Lead balance sheet reviews ensuring operating sites and central functions have balance sheets reconciled and fully supported Support the accounting for pension costs and payroll performed by another team member to ensure accurate and timely processing (payroll itself is managed by HR) Support the work on fixed assets performed by another team member including maintenance of fixed asset registers and lease accounting Support the external audit effort Given the size of the business, a variety of ad-hoc work is anticipated which can include acquisitions and integrations of new businesses, funding changes and process improvements Skills, Experience And Qualifications Qualified accountant with a good grounding in financial accounting Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (or Advanced) Analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Autonomous and can prioritise efficiently Benefits 33 days holiday Hybrid working 2 Employee Volunteering Days per year Online and High-street retailer discount scheme Employee well-being and community support groups Informal and Formal training opportunities with personalised online LMS platform Charity Initiatives and Team events 24/7 Access to Grocery Aid (Free Financial, Emotional and Practical Support) Physical Wellbeing Benefits – Free on demand exercise hub and various gym discounts.
