Tax Manager - Global Renewable Energy

£75,000 - £90,000 + a great package
Hybrid working - 3 days office based
A global renewable energy business based in the heart of Thames Valley with offices across the globe, is looking to recruit a newly created Tax Manager role.
They are looking for a Tax Manager to support the global CFO, where you will be responsible for managing tax compliance and advisory projects of all the global offices within the group, supporting tax planning/strategy projects, managing tax risk, and applying technical & business knowledge to aid senior management decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the global tax compliance process for a portfolio of entities within the group, including global holding subsidiaries, companies providing financing to operating entities, service companies, and trading and investment companies.
* Support the CFO & Executive Leadership Team in relation to entry into new markets, evaluating tax implications, developing tax planning & strategies to minimize tax obligations, including advising on corporate structure, direct and indirect tax compliance, and other considerations.
* Working closely with different tax jurisdictions, regional 'heads of', often getting local support from tax consultants in each location regarding employment taxes, direct and indirect taxes, as well as R&D.
* Take ownership of the ongoing relationships with external tax advisers, ensuring we have the most effective and efficient structure in place.
* Supporting the relationship with HMRC on said companies, including managing correspondence and enquiries.
* Managing group-wide tax compliance requirements such as group relief, withholding taxes, corporate interest restriction, and country-by-country reporting.
* Providing input into projects and support to the business on matters involving the above entities.
They are ideally looking for:
* Demonstrable experience within a corporate taxation focused role with UK tax knowledge.
* CTA qualified candidates with 3-5 years post qualified experience.
* A candidate can come from a practice or an in-house background, ideally with experience of setting up a new role which includes setting up processes, controls, reports, etc.
* The right to work permanently within the UK is essential.
