We are recruiting for a Conventional Machinist for a Precision Engineering business supplying into the Oil & Gas and Marine markets. Due to increase of orders across their biggest customers as well as large investment throughout the business to maximise capacity, the growing business is looking to add a Conventional Machinist
What does it involve?
* Operate conventional and CNC machining equipment, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Set up machines for production runs, ensuring accuracy and quality.
* Monitor machining processes to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
* Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure reliability and safety.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and troubleshoot issues.
What’s needed for me to be considered?
* Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist (CNC knowledge advantageous)
* Proficiency in operating and setting up machining tools and equipment.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
