We are now recruiting for a Production Planner to form an integral part of our production team. You should have a strong, solid background in scheduling; taking a lead approach in scheduling the shop floor ensuring the correct materials are in the right place at the right time. Your role is key to the company fulfilling customers orders on time in full. As our Production Planner you will be specifically responsible for: Working as part of a team responsible for production planning, master production scheduling and forecasting activities. Controlling and maintaining the fixed period within the Master Schedule., Processing of tasks using planning tools such as MRP, ERP or Preactor. Creation of Production Works orders and upcoming material requisitions. Monitoring progress of items associated with designated order lines to assure material will meet customer delivery requirements. Updating data boards: Obeya, latest view (LV) of sales monitoring works orders. Assessing and executing reschedule requests relating to components, assemblies or entire orders. Identifying, recording and monitoring issues impacting timely / expected progress of order line items. Create an accurate, up to date lead time for each of the manufacturing processes. Ensuring production schedules data are accurate, maintained and can be quickly and efficiently modified. In order to be successful in this role you must have: Extensive production planning and master scheduling background within an engineering manufacturing environment. Numerate and IT literate with a good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages in order to compile and analyse performance statistics and deliver reports. Demonstrable track record within a production and planning team with strong experience and knowledge with MRP / ERP tools and systems. Methodical and organised with a high level of attention to detail. Self-motivated, enthusiastic and target focussed.
