Role Summary:
As our HR Officer, you will help Badminton England deliver our People Plan and make this a great place to work. You will manage key people processes relating to the employee lifecycle, keep all our HR systems up to date, support our staff through ensuring our policies are understood and implemented, and ensure we are inclusive and supportive to all our team at Badminton England to assist them in delivering the Badminton England Strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. HR Administration
Management of all processes linked to Starters, Changes, Leavers
Writing and sending out offer letters and contracts
Onboarding, Induction, Offboarding
Requesting references and responding to reference requests
IT point of contact for new starters and liaison with 3rd party IT provider
Completion of exit interviews with all leavers
2. Recruitment
Liaising with line managers to understand requirements
Advising on the ATR process and job descriptions
Supporting with job evaluation and salary benchmarking
Creation and posting of job adverts
CV screening and shortlisting
Arranging interviews
Candidate management
Making offers
3. Reward & Benefits
Ensuring starters, changes and leavers are actioned across all benefits
Scheme information is up to date on Bob
Liaising with benefits providers as necessary
Preparing data for salary review
4. HR Systems & Data
Super user for all HR systems (including SharePoint, Bob, Team Tailor, Be Learning, etc)
Ensure data in systems is correct and up to date
System tester for any system changes
Provide training to the business as required
Provide data and reporting as required
5. Training & Development
Ensuring mandatory training has been completed, ensuring refresher communications go out as required
Coordinate learning and development events for staff
Assist with implementing the new annual review process and monitoring completion rates
6. Employee Relations
Providing HR advice to line managers and employees on all HR procedures, policies, benefits, etc
Supporting with complaint/grievance management and disciplinary cases
Creation of formal meeting invite letters and outcome letters
Supporting staff in meetings as required (eg, maternity, sickness absence, etc)
Note-taker in formal meetings (eg, disciplinary, grievance, etc)
Sickness absence tracking
Assist line managers with Occupational Health Referrals
Who are we looking for:
* Minimum Level 3 CIPD qualified
* Experience in a generalist HR role is required, ideally in a standalone role
* Sound knowledge of HR policies and procedures with ability to implement as required
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Good understanding of HR best practice and how to apply this
* Confident, approachable, calm and discreet
* Proactive, with the ability to use initiative and prioritise own workload
* System/IT proficient, comfortable implementing and using new systems
* Ability to multi-task
* Great attention to detail
* Able to work under pressure

Key information:
This is a full-time fixed-term (Maternity Cover- contract length for up to 12 months) role based on 35.58 hours per week. Badminton England has flexible working, with an already established hybrid environment (3 days in the office at National Badminton Centre, Milton Keynes) with our core day being Thursday.
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 per annum depending on experience
