About the Role:
Stock Controller

Purpose of the role:
The Stock Controller will be responsible for the daily stock checks and updating records. As a member of the Despatch team within Grandstand, you’ll play a key role to facilitate correct stock rotation to ensure maximum production for Avara Foods.
Pay:
£11.90 plus sp and when covering £13.46 plus sp.
Hours:
0700-1900 / 1900-0700 2s/3s
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conduct full daily stock checks.
2. Accountable for ensuring stock checks are correct.
3. Report all stock to the appropriate departments/management, e.g., Planning & Production Managers.
4. Accountable for ensuring the system is updated and the data accurately reflects stock held in despatch/chiller.
5. Complete all paperwork relevant to the role.
6. Ensure product rotation is correct within the area.
7. Normal day will be picking orders for customers and loading of trailers when not covering stock controller role.
What we are looking for:
1. Secondary school qualifications in Maths & English – GCSE or equivalent – essential.
2. Knowledge of production processes – essential.
3. Proven effective communication skills and attention to detail – essential.
4. Proven problem-solving skills & ability to be assertive and make decisions – essential.
5. Proven experience of working on own initiative and organisation skills - desirable.
6. NVQ Level 2 in Food Manufacturing – desirable.
