Job summary We are looking for an A ssistant Psychologist to join a small, enthusiastic team as part of our Intensive support for autism service. Within this service you will be working clinically with a small caseload of people with autism who are struggling with their mental health and presenting frequently to our crisis services. The aims of the team are to provide them with an intensive recovery-oriented approach which is trauma-informed and autism-friendly. The team are based alongside a busy crisis and home treatment team, and there will be opportunities to do some training and intervention with this team as well. Main duties of the job This is a new team working with a small cohort of service users and we will be evaluating its impact. This will include feeding back to our commissioners in terms of clinical and social recovery outcomes for the service users. We will also be measuring the impact of the interventions in terms of service utilisation data. This job would suit someone who has a passion for working with people for autism, is excited about the prospect of doing something new and different, and has confidence in handling data and producing reports. In this job, you will be working with two very specialist staff, a clinical nurse specialist in autism, and a consultant clinical psychologist. You would be supported to gain experience in providing CBT and DBT-informed interventions.
