* Experience in managing cybersecurity threats, ensuring IT systems are robust and protected.

* Effective communication skills to deliver training and collaborate with colleagues.
* Ability to use initiative for timely problem resolution.
* *For IT Officer Level:*
* Experience providing IT support in a professional setting.
* Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and software troubleshooting.
* Experience with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration.
* Basic understanding of IT security, including password policies and phishing awareness.
* Methodical working approach with the ability to provide clear IT guidance.
* Willingness to develop IT knowledge and stay updated on best practices.
* Experience in website content management and basic technical support.
* Proficiency in managing and uploading content to a WordPress website.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure the organization's IT systems and technologies run effectively and securely.
* Manage and coordinate all IT matters, including infrastructure, data, security, licenses, and hardware/software.
* Develop, maintain, and implement IT policies and standards in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
* Oversee the management of the Trust's website, including content updates and security compliance.
* Provide IT support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Develop and deliver IT training, promoting good data management and cybersecurity awareness.
* Arrange regular security audits and monitor vulnerabilities and threats to ensure organizational protection.
* Ensure adherence to relevant guidance and legislation while aiming for best practices.
* Use initiative to find solutions for process improvements and efficiencies.
* Provide technical support for our Volunteer Management System, Assemble.
* *For IT Officer Level:*
* Deliver first-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
* Procure and set up new devices and manage user accounts.
* Manage the Trust's WordPress website, including content updates and uploads.
* Implement security measures, such as password management and two-factor authentication.
* Support the implementation of IT policies, including data protection and GDPR compliance.
* Liaise with external support providers to escalate technical issues when necessary.
* Promote a culture of good data management and cybersecurity awareness.
* Use initiative for process improvement and efficiencies.

We are offering a part-time position for an IT Manager or IT Officer, contingent on your experience, with a permanent contract following a successful six-month probation period. The role is based at our Westcountry Rivers Trust office in Stoke Climsland, with a hybrid working arrangement and regular travel to delivery sites expected. The starting salary ranges from £15,420 (£25,700 FTE) to £21,600 (£36,000 FTE), depending on experience.
