The Role
We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Learning Mentors to join our successful team at Bright Futures School, a non-associated Independent Specialist school based in Lymm, Cheshire. Our aim is to provide a child-centered and individualised education to students with Autism and sensory processing disorders in a calm and safe environment.
Reporting to the Head of School, the post holders will undertake daily activities with students in the classroom to meet their individual needs, ensuring that vulnerable students are safeguarded and their well-being is promoted to the highest standard.
Ideal candidates will have a good understanding of Autism and sensory processing difficulties. They should be highly professional, capable of building effective relationships with children and young adults in challenging environments, and able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Initiative and a desire to undertake specialised support activities are essential. Comprehensive induction training will be provided.
Hours of Working
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional stays until 5:00 pm on Wednesdays for internal training. Annual leave will be during school closure periods.
