Health & Safety Advisor (Construction / Building Services) Location: Essex Our client takes great pride in delivering high-quality projects across prestigious residential, financial and commercial headquarters, hotels, and collaborations with leading London restaurateurs. The Role: Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will be working across 7 buildings locally (Essex) and occasionally on site in London. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring teams operate to the highest safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Support the Integrated Management System (IMS), assisting with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 compliance. Conduct site visits, audits, and inspections to ensure adherence to best practices in health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Assist in drafting and maintaining risk assessments, method statements, and quality plans for high-profile projects. Liaise with site teams, project directors, and external auditors to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Support sustainability initiatives, including BREEAM, WELL, LEED, and environmental reporting. What We’re Looking For: 2-3 years of experience in Health, Safety, Environmental, or Quality roles within Construction, Manufacturing, Joinery, or M&E Engineering. A working knowledge of ISO standards and quality auditing is preferred, though full training and support will be provided for candidates from other industries. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.). An industry-related qualification such as a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, equivalent H&S qualification, or an Internal Auditor certification for ISO standards is beneficial but not essential.
