Senior Technical Sound Designer
Reports to: Audio Director
Permanent – Full-Time
What you will do:
* Responsible for the quality of technical content related to sound;
* Optimize the productivity of the team through the technical process (Pipelines);
* Identify the technical needs of the project;
* Implement effective tools and workflows to maximize data integration into the game engine;
* Provide technical support to the team;
* Contribute to work planning in collaboration with the planning manager;
* Responsible for leading optimization and debugging;
* Collaborate with various teams and disciplines to properly integrate systems that manage audio;
* Engage in the feedback and iteration processes for audio asset creation.
What you bring:
* College or university degree in Sound Design, Music, and/or any equivalent training or experience;
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Technical Sound Designer;
* At least 1 to 2 published video game titles, from conception to completion;
* Strong experience with Unreal 4 and/or 5 and its sound engine (BP, SoundCues / Metasound).
Even better if you have:
* Practical knowledge of modern studio equipment and sound tools that meet industry standards, an asset;
* Experience with Wwise, an asset;
* Experience in musical composition, an asset;
* Knowledge of audio programming, an asset;
* Strong analytical and synthesis skills;
* Ability to adapt to changes and work under pressure while meeting agreed deadlines.
