A national Waste Management business, recognized with numerous awards over the past decade, is expanding its commercial team with a new role for a Corporate Business Development Manager. The base salary ranges from £40,000 to £45,000, complemented by a car package and an uncapped bonus scheme. This is a newly created position as the company aims to grow further.
The company has been operating for over 30 years, with a national presence from a central office. They offer services including general waste, confidential waste, skip hire, glass recycling, baled commodities, washroom services, and more. Their markets span Facilities Management, hospitality, healthcare, education, manufacturing, engineering, property, and transport. They have received accolades such as Business of the Year, Green Apple Awards, and National Recycling Awards, establishing a strong industry reputation.
They leverage technology-enabled USPs to help clients save time and money and seek to expand their market share through this key hire. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Identifying, qualifying (including customer financial due diligence), pursuing, and capturing new business pipelines using the Sales & Marketing Strategy.
2. Achieving sales growth aligned with company, departmental, and individual targets.
3. Engaging in regular face-to-face meetings, calls, and email communications.
4. Self-generating credible leads for prospecting.
5. Contributing ideas for marketing and sales campaigns.
6. Supporting the Sales Director and collaborating with Operations and Supply Chain to enhance operational processes for growth.
7. Representing the company at trade shows and networking events for new business acquisition.
Ideal candidates will be results-driven, confident communicators, influential, entrepreneurial, and accountable for sales results. Experience in FM Sales within Waste is preferred, but market knowledge gaps can be overlooked for the right candidate.
This role offers a hybrid working model of home and office-based work. As the company grows, there will be opportunities for career development within an established sales team of approximately 10 members.
