The Adult Secure Provider Collaborative, Reach Out, is formed of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT), Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT), St Andrews Health Care (STAH), Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust who have devolved budgets from NHSE to commission adult secure care mental health and learning disabilities and autism provision for the population of West Midlands.
Responsibilities
BSMHFT are the Lead Provider (LP) in the Collaborative and sub-contracts to the other four partners, manage contracts, assure the quality of services and lead the necessary reporting regionally and nationally. In order to fulfil the LP roles and responsibilities BSMHFT has established a separate commissioning division known as the Reach Out Commissioning function. The Commissioning function is responsible for:
1. Strategic planning and service development
2. Clinical oversight and quality assurance
3. Contractual, financial and informational oversight
The post holder will be part of the Commissioning function, which is responsible for the service planning and transformation, quality, performance and finance of all Reach Out providers and all patients who originate from West Midlands regardless of which provider the placement is with including those with Learning Disability and Autism.
The post holder is expected to provide effective and comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Associate Director (AD), Clinical Programme Director (CPD), and Business Programme Support Officer (BPSO) within the West Midlands Secure Care Provider Collaborative, Reach Out.
To work autonomously, initiating action on behalf of the AD and CPD, resolving or referring problems as necessary.
To assist the Business Programme Support Officer (BPSO) in the implementation and delivery of administrative functions within Reach Out.
