Interim HR Officer

Reed HR are pleased to be supporting an educational establishment with an interim requirement for a HR Officer, to join them for a period of 2-3 months. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work within a team of three to provide an effective HR service to the organisation, acting as the first point of contact on any day to day people matters.
Responsibilities
* Advise line managers and staff on HR matters, using appropriate communication methods.
* Provide administrative support, including note-taking at formal meetings and supporting HR projects.
* Manage recruitment processes, including job advertisements, shortlisting, and visa documentation.
* Administer casual worker processes and prepare standard HR documents.
* Plan and conduct induction sessions for new staff.
* Monitor and maintain personnel records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
* Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and Home Office regulations for visas.
To be considered, you ideally will have:
* Previous experience within an administratively focused HR position, as HR Administrator, Assistant, Coordinator or Officer.
* HR experience in higher education.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
* Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and data protection.
