Are you passionate about creating safer, stronger communities? Do you thrive on tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and making a real difference in people’s lives? Join our dedicated team as a Community Safety Officer and be at the forefront of fostering positive change in local neighbourhoods.
In this vital role, you'll work closely with customers, internal teams, and local partners to tackle ASB, build trust, and develop practical solutions that enhance community wellbeing. If you're proactive, compassionate, and committed to ensuring everyone feels safe in their community, we’d love to hear from you!
Together, let’s create safer homes and neighbourhoods.
About the role
As a Community Safety Officer at Greatwell Homes, you'll be at the heart of our commitment to delivering a high-quality, customer-focused Anti-Social Behaviour service.
You’ll manage a range of anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases, including some that may require legal action, while working collaboratively with partners like the Police, Social Services, and Environmental Health. No two days are the same, and your work will have a lasting impact on the safety and well-being of our communities.
What you’ll do
1. Utilise a range of interventions to tackle antisocial behaviour linked to our properties.
2. Proactively manage a complex caseload to a high standard.
3. Complete thorough investigations, gathering evidence, preparing documentation, and representing Greatwell Homes in court when needed.
4. Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to achieve robust and sustainable solutions to antisocial behaviour.
5. Share with colleagues your knowledge, skills, and experience of best practices, legal processes, and customer care.
What you’ll bring
1. A strong understanding of community safety, ASB case management, or related experience in housing or local government.
2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and agencies.
3. Confidence in handling challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
4. Ability to utilise different approaches to deal effectively with different situations and a wide range of customers with different needs.
5. Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements is ideal, but a commitment to learning and growth is just as important.
If you have the experience and passion to help us achieve our goals and are highly proactive with a positive attitude, you might be just the person we are looking for.
In return, you will benefit from 25 days annual leave, a health cash plan (following probation), the ability to work flexibly, and the option of a Social Housing Pension Scheme.
Interviews are to be held on the 12th and 13th December over Teams.
