We are looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Sheffield. In this role, you will be responsible for project control, resource management, and contract management of groups of smaller projects and also a number of large scale projects dependant on assigned clients. Reporting to the Head of Projects, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial client engagement to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Salary: Up to £65,000, depending upon skills and experience. You will: Competently and efficiently plan & control multiple small projects / plus a number of larger projects. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Coordinate and lead project meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and status updates with internal teams and clients. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Understand client requirements and specifications and ensure alignment with project deliverables. Manage client expectations and address any concerns or issues promptly. Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project efficiency. Control and motivate assigned resources to achieve project time and cost objectives, including work breakdown allocations and team co-ordination. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components. Ensure team members have the necessary tools, training, and support to perform their tasks effectively. Ensure all control panels meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Implement quality control processes and coordinate with the quality assurance team to address any non-conformities. Be aware of, and coordinate Health & Safety matters for work activities. Conduct regular project audits to ensure adherence to quality and compliance standards. Develop and manage project budgets (including the accurate control of costs to date, and future labour/material forecasts), tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective project execution. Prepare financial reports and forecasts, providing regular updates to senior management. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and corrective actions. Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and stored in accordance with company policies. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in project management. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project team, encouraging feedback and innovation. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and methodologies related to control panel manufacturing and project management.
