Job Description
As a Materials Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing materials across the supply chain to ensure operational excellence. You will lead a team of up to 40 professionals and oversee end-to-end material flow, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials at the right cost. This position demands strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to foster continuous improvement initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include:
1. Overseeing material supply processes to achieve on-time, in-full delivery goals.
2. Leading inventory accuracy improvements and implementing strategies to optimise inventory levels.
3. Driving operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Collaborating with stakeholders to identify supply gaps and mitigate risks proactively.
5. Managing the development and implementation of a new ERP system.
6. Leading, mentoring, and inspiring your team to achieve individual and organisational goals.
Skills & Experience
To excel as a Materials Manager, you will need:
1. Proven leadership experience in supply chain, materials management, or logistics.
2. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
3. Knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
5. A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics) is preferred.
