We are looking for a passionate and innovative Data Insight Analyst who has a deep understanding of both data analytics and business dynamics. We’re all about empowering our business with the insight to make better decisions, collaborating with key SGN stakeholders to build solutions that solve problems. We’re seeking a keen problem solver who can create and maintain analytics products and services while collaborating on projects across the business.

How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…
* Supporting and maintaining the existing portfolio of data and analytics products and services in order to inform business decisions
* Innovating and delivering new data and analytics products to empower the wider business, including: data transformation, business information reports, self-service dashboards, statistical analysis and optimisation modelling
* Contributing to the full end-to-end delivery lifecycle of our projects including but not limited to: requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing and release and roll out to stakeholders
* Providing insightful recommendations and collaborating with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of our products and processes
* Training, coaching, and championing best practice to build a collaborative community of Data & Analytics excellence across the business
* Championing data and analytics, driving adoption, and supporting enablement of business teams to be more self-sufficient in meeting their Data & Analytics requirements by developing cohesive cross-functional relationships
What you’ll need

* You have a degree level education in a relevant subject or proven credible work experience in data and analytics
* Experience using a range of tools and techniques for report building, ad-hoc queries and data analytics (Tableau, SQL, Python etc)
* Strong communication at all levels and media both understanding business problems and explaining insight and recommendations
* Demonstrate a high level of curiosity and attention to detail, getting to the bottom of business questions and furthering the team’s capability to deliver first class analytics and insight
* Proven experience successfully delivering small and large data analytics projects
* You are comfortable with the data transformation and data preparation of diverse and complex data sets
* Proficient at creating interactive dashboards that are intuitive and insightful, utilising modern data visualisation tools
* Confident training, coaching and mentoring others
* You are a keen problem solver, excellent with technology and possess a detail orientated mindset
* Experience working with AI technologies such as machine learning is desirable but not essential
