Key Responsibilities: - Day to day use of toolroom machinery and equipment (XYZ lathe, mill, surface grinder) - The machining of complex tooling and fixtures - Performing rework and repair to product as required - Support and manage the equipment to best achieve required tolerances - Carry out dimensional checks using a variety of equipment - Escalate any issues, errors or concerns immediately to the Line Manager - Any other duties as required by your line manager - Support CORE and keep up excellent housekeeping practices Shifts: This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts: - Morning: 6:00 AM-1:45 PM (Monday-Thursday) and 6:00 AM-12:00 PM (Friday). - Afternoon: 2:00 PM-10:00 PM (Monday-Thursday) and 12:15 PM-5:15 PM (Friday). There may be a possibility of moving to night shifts. Ample notice will be provided if required. Education & Experience: - Recognized engineering apprenticeship e.g. City & Guilds/ BTEC Level 3 or equivalent Skills & Certifications: - Numeracy and Literacy Skills - IT skills Desirable Skills: - Setting & operating various types of machinery (production and toolroom) - Use of toolroom equipment - XYZ equipment and controls - Aerospace / tool and die / precision engineering background favourable - Manual inspection using various types of measuring equipment - Knowledge of metrology / measurement techniques - PC Dmis knowledge advantageous - CMM operation - Knowledge of machining / working with a wide range of materials - Understanding of tooling and fixture design Required Security Clearance: This role may involve access to export-controlled information and hardware. An export license may be required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
