Job Title: Cloud Practice Sales Engineer
The Role
We are looking for skilled Cloud Practice Sales Engineers to play a key role in advancing technology solutions for clients. This role involves working closely with consulting teams and customer associates to identify and pursue strategic opportunities that exceed customer expectations.
The position requires expertise in cloud computing, solution architecture, and consultative sales. You will contribute to consulting, advisory, and architecture initiatives across sales, pre-sales, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement cloud strategies.
* Design and deploy cloud architectures.
* Provide support in transitioning pre-sales projects to post-sales contract execution.
* Lead in collecting, validating, and vetting customer technical, functional, and non-functional requirements.
* Develop initial technical solution strategies for cloud and digital transformation projects.
* Create solution proposals, including cost estimates, deployment timelines, and architecture drafts.
* Apply technical and competitive insights related to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
* Develop and maintain relationships with end clients, business partners, and alliances.
* Contribute to technical and operational elements of contracts and statements of work (SOWs).
* Build complete business cases to support customer decisions.
* Present solutions to C-suite executives, boardrooms, and technical teams.
Conduct client meetings, RFP presentations, and cloud modernization demonstrations.
* Obtain and maintain industry-recognized cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Required Skills and Experience
* 2+ years of experience in cloud/digital transformation consultative sales or sales engineering.
* Ability to lead customer discussions and validate technical requirements.
* Experience in developing and presenting high-quality cloud transformation solutions.
* Ability to create solution proposals, business cases, and deployment plans.
* 3+ years of experience conducting client meetings, RFP presentations, and business reviews.
* Proven ability to demonstrate projects and guide customers through implementations.
* At least one certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Strong understanding of containers, DevOps tools, automation (Ansible, Terraform), and cloud security.
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience with software engineering (beneficial but not required).
* Knowledge of cloud-native application development and hybrid cloud architectures.
* Strong financial acumen with the ability to build and present business cases.
* Experience advising senior stakeholders on cloud adoption strategies.
