Role Overview As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will play a vital role in supporting students with their learning and development. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide targeted assistance, helping students overcome challenges and engage fully in their education. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students who need additional learning assistance. Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to meet students' individual needs. Support students with literacy, numeracy, and social development. Work collaboratively with teachers to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a calm and focused learning space. Encourage students' confidence, independence, and engagement in lessons. Monitor and record students’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an individual who is patient, encouraging, and passionate about supporting children’s learning. The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience in a learning support, SEN, or teaching assistant role (desirable but not essential). A strong understanding of different learning styles and additional educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students and staff. A positive and proactive approach to helping students succeed. A relevant qualification in Education, SEN, or Child Development (desirable but not essential). A genuine passion for making a difference in children’s lives. To Work with GSL Education, You Must: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
