HMP Dovegate is seeking a Distance Learning Administrator to support and coordinate our education programs, helping prisoners gain valuable skills for a brighter future. As a Category B male facility managed by Serco, HMP Dovegate houses up to 1,060 prisoners and is home to the UK’s only privately run purpose-built therapeutic prison. Our Distance Learning programme is a key part of rehabilitation, and we need a skilled administrator to keep everything running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing: Managing & Organising – Schedule courses, oversee learning resources, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Tracking Progress – Monitor student data, keep accurate records, and report on retention, success, and achievements. Supporting Learners – Ensure students have access to the materials and guidance they need to succeed. Liaising & Communicating – Work closely with tutors, the Library Team, and external partners to enhance learning opportunities. Maintaining IT Facilities – Oversee the Distance Learning Classroom, ensuring all digital resources are accessible and up to date. Ensuring Continuity – Support prisoners transitioning to other institutions or release, helping them continue their studies. What We’re Looking For: Strong Administration Skills – Experience in a busy admin role, managing records, schedules, and communication. Excellent Organisation – Ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines with efficiency and accuracy. Great Communication – Confident in working with different teams and supporting learners in a professional environment. Attention to Detail – Skilled in maintaining accurate records and handling data effectively.
