Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Sales & Marketing Executive to join the Akoni Technologies team. This role is heavily focused on sales and lead generation, playing a key part in driving new business opportunities and supporting the wider sales and marketing strategy. Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will be responsible for making outbound sales calls, supporting with presenting to potential clients, assisting with proposals and contracts, and maintaining customer databases. In addition to sales, you will support the marketing team with campaign execution, content creation, and market research to help generate leads and increase brand visibility. Full sales training will be provided, so while previous experience is beneficial, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude are essential.
During your probation period, you will be required to work from the office five days a week to provide a smooth settlement into the business and complete your training. If you are a fast learner, this can be adjusted at your manager’s discretion (after probation, you will be allowed to work from home on Fridays). Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outbound sales efforts including, but not limited to, calling, LinkedIn connections and messages, email outreach and networking events.
* Provide administrative support to the senior team, including scheduling meetings, creating and delivering presentations, and managing correspondence.
* Be proactive in making sales and recruitment calls, and confident and comfortable in presenting to potential clients to generate leads and close deals.
* Assist in the preparation of sales proposals, contracts, and quotations to support the sales process.
* Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems to track each step of the pipeline with leads, follow-ups, calls, emails, and sales performance.
* Help to build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to foster long-term business growth.
* Monitor sales performance and provide reports on key metrics to help optimise sales strategies.
* Source, screen, and engage top tech talent using various platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, and personal networks.
Marketing & Content Creation:
* Support in the creation and implementation of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
* Coordinate with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing collateral and promotional materials e.g. annual events, conferences, and printers.
* Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives, as and when required.
* Contribute to the creation of marketing content such as blog posts, social media posts, and the Akoni podcast, as and when required.
* Feature in marketing and social videos and various content outputs such as team TikToks, YouTube, events and brand sales videos.
* Support the planning and execution of events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
* Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and onsite support as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Development, Communications, or related field.
* 1-2 years proven experience in a sales, marketing or recruitment role, or an industry where key skills are transferrable.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with marketing software and tools.
