Salary: 80,000 - 80,000 GBP per year Requirements:
* I have 5 years of experience in providing operational management across technical or engineering teams.
* I possess strong expertise in working with engineering teams skilled in LAN/WAN networking and infrastructure.
* I have a proven ability to manage and mentor teams of 10 technical experts.
* I have a strong track record in resource planning and optimisation.
* I am familiar with ServiceNow (or similar systems) and data analysis tools like Excel and PowerBI.
* I hold certifications in CCNA, Lean Six Sigma, or ITIL, which would be beneficial.
* I am capable of covering out-of-hours on-call commitments.
* I hold necessary security clearances: BPSS and SC (required).
Responsibilities:
* I will lead and mentor the Network Architects, ensuring they have the skills, resources, and support needed to thrive. This includes shaping training, career development, and succession planning.
* I will optimise performance by balancing workloads and streamlining resources to ensure smooth operations while tracking overtime and out-of-hours commitments to maintain team productivity and satisfaction.
* I will improve engineering processes to reduce errors and inefficiencies. I will employ Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to address issues at their source and continually strive to enhance performance.
* I will drive service excellence by maintaining SLAs, providing technical escalation for NOC and Pre-Sales, and overseeing 24/7 support coverage while enhancing service improvements to ensure customer satisfaction.
* I will push for continuous improvement by using data and insights to boost performance, drive innovation, and eliminate inefficiencies. I will also serve as Duty Manager on a rota basis, managing major service outages effectively.
