Vectis Recruit have been assigned to recruit a Financial Controller based in Fareham for a leading global manufacturer of parts for the industrial sector. The Financial Controller will oversee all financial aspects of the company, guiding the financial planning, risk management, and reporting for a multi-million £ manufacturing operation. This role will be part of the senior management team and you will work with the team to improve plant performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
* Develop financial strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
* Oversee cash flow, cost control, financial risk, and investment management.
* Manage all onsite OPEX and CAPEX projects
* Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and internal policies.
* Collaborate with operational teams to improve efficiency and profitability.
* Monitor manufacturing costs, product pricing, and margins to optimise business performance.
* Lead the audit process and maintain strong relationships with external auditors.
* Use financial analysis to identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and process improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Ideally you will be CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualified
* Experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role in the manufacturing sector is essential
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and manufacturing cost control.
* Proven experience in leading financial strategy and managing budgets in a manufacturing environment.
* MRP experience is preferred
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
* Proficient in financial software and advanced Excel.
* Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
