W Talent is delighted to be working with a heavy engineering business located in Sheffield who are looking to recruit a new Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the Aerospace and Automotive sector. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that products meet the highest industry standards. You'll work closely with production teams, suppliers, and customers to maintain quality assurance processes, drive continuous improvement, and uphold regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in line with ISO 9001, and other relevant standards. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues. Perform internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements. Generate and review documentation, including PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans. Support new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality standards are integrated from the start. Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality concerns and maintain strong working relationships. About You Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably within the Engineering, Aerospace or Automotive industries. Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools such as PPAP, FMEA, 8D, and APQP. Familiarity with ISO 9001, and relevant industry standards. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders. Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering or a related field (preferred but not essential). What's on Offer? A competitive salary of £35,000 - £42,000.
