HIAB HGV Class 2 Driver - Building Materials
We're looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB expertise to join our team. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of palletised goods throughout the local area. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, efficient delivery management, and a focus on providing professional customer service.
Salary: £16.34/h Weekly pay
Employment Type: Temporary-Permanent
Working Days: Monday - Friday
Start Date: Immediate start

Your Responsibilities:
1. Operating a truck equipped with a remote HIAB crane for loading and unloading.
2. Conducting thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
3. Securing cargo for safe transport and ensuring proper loading/unloading procedures.
4. Maintaining accurate delivery logs and all necessary documentation.
5. Communicating effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules and potential delays.
6. Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.
7. Performing routine vehicle checks and promptly reporting any maintenance issues.
What You'll Need:
1. Valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence, CPC, and Digi card.
2. Essential: Proven 2 years experience with HIAB operations
3. Clean licence up to 6 points
4. Solid understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
5. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
6. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
7. A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
