Job Title: Executive Support Officer (Level 5)

Salary: £54,971 - £58,261
Location: Nottingham, Loxley House (Hybrid working available)
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for supporting impactful change? If so, we want you to join our team as an Executive Support Officer! In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Leader of Nottingham City Council and driving the strategic direction of the Council's executive team. Your leadership will shape the way we deliver high-quality services and ensure the city's transformation agenda is a success.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Act as a trusted advisor to the Leader
* Lead and manage the Councillor Support Manager and the Political Assistant and Majority Group Support team, ensuring it operates effectively and supports the Leader and Executive.
* Interpreting national policy and legislation to drive local impact.
* Manage and lead high-profile projects and change programmes that align with the Council's ongoing transformation efforts.
* Oversee the coordination of high-level meetings and stakeholder engagement, enhancing Nottingham's profile and influence.
* Develop and implement strategies for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, ensuring these are embedded in everything we do.
* Manage key relationships with elected officials, the public, and external agencies to ensure Nottingham continues to thrive.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for a dynamic and driven individual with experience in leading teams and managing projects in a complex environment. Your passion for change management, collaboration, and service improvement will be key to success. In addition, you will need:
* Proven experience in leading teams, driving change, and delivering outcomes.
* Strong understanding of local government operations, including the political environment.
* The ability to build relationships across diverse teams and sectors, using your influencing and negotiation skills to ensure positive results.
* A commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in both service delivery and team development.
* Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to advise, influence, and make high-level decisions.
