An opportunity has arisen for an experienced senior clinician (RMN/ Social Worker/ Clinical Psychologist/Family Therapist/Child Psychotherapist) to join our Crisis and Home Therapeutic Team. If you have the background, experience and innovation in developing and delivering a high standardof crisis assessment and intervention for young peopleand families then this is the post for you.
Working in SET-CAMHS, you will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team working together to support the delivery ofa 24/7 crisis service which includes, community and hospital based assessments, therapeutic intervention packages, telephone crisis line, parent/carer support, psycho-education and prevention. This post will play a crucial role in providing clinical oversight of the crisis pathway alongside the Team Manager as well as support to the wider team.The post holder will be accountable for their own professional actions and will work within professional ethics & NELFT NHS Trust Policies.
The post-holder we are seeking will be an experienced and highly skilled practitioner, fully registered with the appropriate professional body and can demonstrate leadership in professional and clinical spheres. You will have a breadth of experience in child and adolescent mental health services and feel passionate and excited to help shape and deliver services to best support the needs of the local population in Essex.
As a senior clinician within the service, you will bring highly developed knowledge of specialist therapeutic assessment, formulation and intervention skills and specific knowledge and expertise in designing and recommending ongoing management plans and psychological interventions.
This post would suit someone with a strong interest in working with young people who present with complexity and significant levels of distress in crisis, working with the wider systems including the acute hospitals, education, social care and family/carers.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
