This is a critical role that requires a strong leader who can manage multiple roofing teams, ensure smooth project execution, and maintain excellent client relationships. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Managing Roofing Teams & Operations: Overseeing the scheduling and deployment of 12 roofing teams (4 people per team), ensuring productivity and project success. Daily check-ins with teams to track job progress and problem-solve any on-site challenges. Maintaining strong relationships with roofing teams while ensuring respect and professionalism. ✅ Project & Resource Planning: Managing projects from start to finish, ensuring all materials (including roof tiles) are ordered and delivered on time. Stock management – monitoring supplies in the yard and placing timely orders to prevent shortages. ✅ Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Acting as the key point of contact for housebuilder site managers, contracts managers, and roofing suppliers. Ensuring projects meet client expectations and that all communication is clear, professional, and solution-focused. ✅ Team & Logistics Management: Overseeing drivers, yard staff, and the construction administrator, coordinating their workload to support operational efficiency. ✅ Risk & Performance Management: Identifying potential risks (e.g., weather delays) and adjusting schedules to mitigate impact. Tracking and reporting on project performance, labor efficiency, and material usage. What We’re Looking For: Strong experience in roofing (essential) – ideally with knowledge of solar or new build site plans. Proven leadership skills – experience managing multiple teams and ensuring accountability. Excellent communication & relationship-building skills – must be able to liaise with teams, clients, and suppliers effectively. Highly organised & detail-oriented – capable of handling scheduling, stock control, and reporting. A direct but fair management approach – someone who can lead with authority while maintaining positive relationships.
