Your key responsibilities will include: Wire and assemble electrical control panels for industrial machines and scientific instruments based on schematics and engineering drawings. Creating cable assemblies, looms following the latest drawing sets. Conduct circuit verification on electrical installations to ensure functionality and safety (Dead test). Conduct live circuit testing on mains (LV 230VAC and SELV 24VDC circuits). Utilize Digital Voltmeters (DVM) and other test equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment Maintain accurate records of work performed, including any issues encountered and solutions implemented Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely completion of projects Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure all work meets industry standards and specifications. Skills & Attributes: Proven experience in electrical panel assembly and wiring following schematics and assembly drawings. Proficiency in using tools such as Digital Voltmeters (DVM) and other relevant testing equipment. Knowledge of basic electrical testing. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Qualifications: Relevant electrical qualification to verify and test, such as a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent. 17th and/or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification is desirable but not essential. PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) but training can be provided. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Comfortable working at height on raised platforms. Capable of performing bench work and handling small components.
