Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking a Lean Engineer with strong Maintenance Engineering skills to join their team. This hands-on role is perfect for a maintenance professional with a strong background in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies, as well as NEBOSH certification. You will be responsible for leading Lean projects, enhancing safety, training staff, and ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Lean Projects: Implement Lean initiatives to drive process improvements, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Use tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to identify and act on areas for improvement.
* Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
* Safety Compliance: Uphold safety standards through risk assessments and adherence to NEBOSH protocols, ensuring all maintenance and improvement projects comply with health and safety regulations.
* Staff Training and Support: Train and coach production staff on Lean principles, safety practices, and basic maintenance tasks, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
* Data Analysis: Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production and maintenance. Use this data to pinpoint improvement opportunities and report progress to management.
* Root Cause Analysis: Identify and resolve underlying causes of equipment malfunctions and production inefficiencies using Lean tools, such as 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
* Collaboration: Partner with Quality, Production, and other teams to ensure seamless operations and the application of Lean methodologies across departments.
Requirements:
* NEBOSH Certification is essential, with a solid understanding of health, safety, and risk management in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a production or manufacturing setting, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a range of equipment.
* Demonstrable experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, with hands-on experience implementing Lean practices.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Effective communication skills, with experience training and supporting staff on Lean and maintenance procedures.
