Scope: This position is responsible for managing the availability of over 1m SKU’s across CooperVision’s extensive portfolio through effective planning of finished goods inventory to support current and future customer demand via CooperVision’s distribution centres, and direct customer orders within EMEA partnering with all co-dependant functions within the global organisation. Job Summary: As Supply Chain Planning Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Supply Chain Planners and Senior Planners, whilst monitoring Finished Goods and Raw Material inventory levels to ensure that the operation is meeting domestic and international customer demand for Made to Stock and Made to Order products. You will coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of good, as well as prepare, monitor, record, analyse and report information regarding department performance and progress. Essential Functions & Accountabilities Provides leadership, supports, motivates, develops and coaches the Senior Planners and Supply Chain Planners to manage their performance and assure the personal development of the team. The organization and accountability for Supply Planning Performance and Service Level as defined by the Global Supply Chain objectives. Managing the Supply Planning team to ensure on time delivery of supply and distribution plans to meet customer demand across the EMEA Supply Chain. Planning and implementing Supply Chain optimisation that will drive inventory & obsolescence improvements. Supporting aggregate planning processes by providing input to and managing the manufacturing and Packaging D&OP process. Working in collaboration with the Manufacturing Planning Teams, Global Supply Chain Teams, Distribution and Packaging Operations Teams to ensure that we’re delivering the products and services that meet our customer’s needs. Liaising with the Purchasing team to ensure optimal levels of components to support the demand forecasts. Determines ‘at risk’ products and provide root cause analysis, leadership updates and escalations where required. Implements continuous improvements to support the Quality policy with regular reviews of SOP/WI’s, non-conformance investigations and subsequent corrective and preventative actions, key contributor to the EMEA Supply Chain Quality Plan. Ensures new product launches are understood and managed by working closely with key stakeholders within the Life Cycle Management and the Global Supply Chain Team. Takes the lead on all key Supply Chain and joint Operations activities to ensure they are delivered in line with scope and communicated timescales. Drive change and effective communication to develop practices within the planning department to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Lead and further develop relationships with all stakeholders and co-dependent functions to ensure best outcome from Supply Chain Development opportunities. Provide a range of data and reports to Senior Management on projects, activities, and to highlight further opportunity with the supply chain. Drive the use of Best Practice in supply chain processes and recommends appropriate strategies to ensure these are implemented and maintained. Leads or contributes to projects from these recommendations. Travel Requirements Up to 10% travel per year, domestic or international. Working in an office environment on a hybrid basis as part of a small team. Prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Ability to perform light to medium physical work and standing for long periods of time, if required depending on the task. Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain required, 2 years’ experience in a leadership position preferably in medical device or other regulated or quality industry. Experience managing and developing staff and building a high performing team. Make decisions based on wide range of sources and experience to resolve complex problems. Proven track record of delivering multiple projects in parallel. Education Qualification in higher education or a professional qualification. Desirable: Level 4/5 CIPS. Desirable: Lean Sigma training or equivalent.
