Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and support telephony platforms including 3CX, Avaya, Mitel, and Shortel to ensure seamless communication systems.
2. Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructures with Cisco and Fortinet hardware, ensuring optimal performance and security.
3. Implement, troubleshoot, and optimize VoIP solutions and telephony systems to improve call quality and system reliability.
4. Integrate telephony systems with existing IT infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and smooth communication between devices.
5. Provide technical support for users, troubleshooting telephony issues, and offering training on system usage and features.
6. Plan, test, and execute upgrades for telephony platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and improved functionality.
7. Monitor network and telephony systems for performance, security, and reliability; generate regular reports and proactively address issues.
8. Liaise with vendors for support, procurement, and upgrades related to telephony systems and network hardware.
Skills Required:
1. Strong knowledge of telephony solutions, particularly 3CX, Avaya, Mitel, and Shortel, with hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting.
2. Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting VoIP systems, including SIP trunking and call routing.
3. In-depth understanding of network protocols and services, including IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs, with expertise in Cisco and Fortinet devices.
4. Experience with network devices like Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and Fortinet security appliances.
5. Familiarity with Ubiquiti networking devices for wireless access points, switches, and routers.
6. Knowledge of security best practices for telephony and networking, including firewall configuration and secure communications.
7. Strong analytical skills to quickly identify, diagnose, and resolve telephony and network issues.
8. Ability to manage telephony and network deployment projects, including planning, execution, and maintenance.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical teams, vendors, and end-users effectively.
