SEN Teaching Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH to join a fantastic primary school in Barnet, London. This full-time, temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: • Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs. • Assisting with the planning and delivery of interventions to promote emotional well-being and positive behaviour. • Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). • Supporting students in their academic progress and social development. • Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Ideal Candidate:We are looking for a compassionate and resilient individual with experience working with children with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will have: • A solid understanding of SEMH challenges and strategies to support these needs. • Experience working within the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum. • Strong communication and teamwork skills. • A proactive and positive attitude towards helping children overcome barriers to learning.
