Description\nThis is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our vibrant, fast paced People Team as the Payroll Advisor. \n\nWorking within the People Team, the Payroll Advisor will be responsible for proactively contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll department through payroll processing to ensure colleagues are paid accurately and on time. \nWhat does the role involve?\n\nEnsure data entry is processed accurately throughout the month/year to meet agreed deadlines such as monthly pay runs and year end accounts. Including all starters, leavers, changes and relevant deductions for the payroll\n\nCoach, support and mentor payroll colleagues \n\nCross check colleague payroll input and calculations in line with Audit requirements\n\nManual calculation of PAYE & NIC\n\nInput and process relevant additional benefit schemes in place such as childcare vouchers\n\nRun Payroll, process Bank Files and Post-Payroll Processes in the absence of the Payroll Manager\n\nRecall salary BACS payments as instructed by Senior Leaders\n\nProcesses employee expenses in line with agreed timescales and policy\n\nRespond to enquiries received in person, by telephone or by email, ensuring enquiries are resolved in a positive and timely manner.
