Commercial Gas Engineer Needed To Cover North East England
Salary: £40k Starting Salary
About the role
Our client is looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer for a mobile based role which involves travelling throughout the North East region.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Carry out the servicing and repairs of commercial gas systems.
2. Working on various plant and equipment types including commercial boilers, AHU's, and indirect/direct gas fired equipment.
3. Undertake various maintenance tasks/PPM's as scheduled by the helpdesk team including general mechanical and fabric tasks.
4. Undertake PPM and reactive maintenance works, including fault finding, repair and installation of boilers/mechanical services.
5. Complete all paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
6. Ensure that all technical services are carried out in an efficient and effective manner, and in line with all industry/regulatory requirements.
7. Ensure all work carried out is done so in accordance with the Companies H&S requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Having succeeded in a similar role, you'll have relevant professional qualifications and be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of the wider team.
2. You will also be able to build and maintain relationships across the organisation and with customers.
3. You would ideally be located in Leeds, York or Sheffield.
4. Domestic Gas (CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CENWAT, CPA1) and commercial Gas (COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A, CDGA1) as a minimum.
5. Minimum 5 yrs. experience as a commercial gas engineer carrying out maintenance and repairs.
6. General experience in a commercial building services environment would be beneficial.
7. Other trade skills would be an advantage.
8. Good technical knowledge as well as the ability to multi-task.
9. Ability to plan and prioritise own workload to deadlines.
10. Ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative.
11. Ability to work from instruction and make decisions as needed with minimal supervision.
12. Friendly and approachable nature with great communication skills (including written).
13. Great attention to detail with excellent time management skills.
14. Full UK driving licence.
Remuneration
This is a permanent position, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week between 08.00 am to 17.00 pm.
Starting salary of £40k.
Regular overtime opportunities.
