Our Investigations & Compliance team helps clients to establish the facts in relation to an incident, loss or misconduct and then to remediate and recover value. We are experienced in managing diverse issues including fraud and misconduct, regulatory compliance, risk frameworks and modelling and much more.
As a Manager, we expect you to independently manage engagements under the supervision of the Engagement Leader. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage stakeholders and deliver quality solutions to our clients. You will be expected to contribute to business development activities, including marketing, knowledge sharing and practice development. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about helping to grow our Forensic practice and helping our clients with their most complex challenges. Roles and Responsibilities
1. Managing a portfolio of Forensic Investigation engagements, ranging from financial, fraud or misconduct investigations, through to proactive risk management and regulatory driven compliance work, and Forensic in the Audit (FITA)
2. Acting independently in managing engagements, under overall supervision of the engagement leader
3. Preparation of reports and sections thereof for Senior Manager/ Director/ Partner review
4. Managing the risks and financials associated with client engagements
5. Engaging credibly with stakeholders at clients ( board level individuals at corporate clients and/or law firm partners) on behalf of KPMG
6. Developing a network of relevant internal and external contacts through quality delivery on engagements and proactive involvement in other networking activity
7. Contributing to the developing of proposals/ bids for future work
8. Developing and overseeing more junior members of the team on project assignments
9. Recognising the importance of continuous self and team development and actively striving to achieve this
Leadership & Management:
As an I&C Manager you will be expected to manage engagement teams of varying size, which may include both onshore and offshore colleagues, contractors and/or colleagues from other member firms. You will be expected to oversee and train colleagues on your engagements, ensuring work is produced to a high quality.
Stakeholder Interaction & challenges:
As an I&C Manager you may be expected to liaise directly with clients, client's external counsel, senior members of the KPMG team and other third parties as required. You may be managing multiple senior level stakeholders across multiple projects at any one time.
Impact, Risk, Accountability & Governance:
Managers may be required to have Engagement Manager responsibilities on small to medium sized engagements. They will be accountable to the Engagement Leaders on their engagements and will be expected to effectively manage the risks and financials associated with client engagements.
The Person
10. Chartered Professional Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent and/or relevant experience as set out below.
11. Minimum of 3 years of PQE experience with forensic consulting focus
12. A broad range of experience across a range of Forensic engagements, such as: investigations, fraud risk management, dispute advisory and/or regulatory compliance
13. Experience of working on assignments where forensic accountancy, data analytics, corporate intelligence and/or electronic media reviews have been deployed as part of investigations
14. Experience in statutory audit, financial accounting, financial misstatements and/or forensic support to audits beneficial
15. Demonstrable experience of contributing to the managing of projects, including elements of financial and risk management
16. Experience in scoping and defining Forensic projects is preferable
17. Proven ability to lead and manage small teams
18. Ability to articulate complex and technical findings in both written and oral presentations for a variety of audiences
19. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivation and an enquiring mind
20. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
21. Confidence and ability to quickly establish credibility with clients and senior colleagues
22. Confidence in challenging existing ways of working and ways of thinking
23. Strong stakeholder management skills
