Are you a motivated and experienced automotive professional looking to take your career to the next level? Our client, a well-regarded name in the automotive industry, is seeking a Hands-On Workshop Controller to lead and develop their Southampton branch. They are known for their excellent customer service, high-quality standards, and strong team dynamics. As a brand ambassador, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the branch’s success and enhancing its profitability.
Our client is seeking a hands-on workshop controller who can undertake repairs and fit parts, ensuring hands-on involvement in the workshop. The Southampton branch is a relatively small but productive site, operating as a fast-fit centre without an MOT bay. Currently, there is one technician, and we are recruiting for another.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced workshop controller or an exceptional Assistant Manager / Vehicle Technician looking to step up to the next level. If you’re passionate about customer satisfaction, leadership, and the automotive industry, we want to hear from you!

Duties & Responsibilities of a Workshop Controller:
16. Promoting and maintaining the company image, acting as a brand ambassador
17. Delivering outstanding customer service
18. Maximising volume to ensure profit and financial targets are met
19. Coordinating and controlling the work of Autocentre staff, offering assistance and support as required
20. Undertaking repairs and fitting parts, ensuring hands-on involvement in the workshop
21. Ensuring the security of stock and monies, being accountable for any losses
22. Maintaining company housekeeping standards
About You:
23. You have hands-on experience and qualifications in the motor industry
24. Proven track record in vehicle tech work and willingness to continue with this as well as run the workshop
25. Excellent customer service skills and a desire to succeed
26. Ability to develop and drive a successful team
27. Polite, conscientious, and enthusiastic disposition
28. Keen to follow the company's ethos and contribute to the overall success of the branch
