Health and Safety Manager
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full Time Monday – Friday
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Our prestigious client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their leading team in Stroud!
You will formulate and uphold H&S policies whilst creating and implementing H&S plans in alignment with legal requirements. The ideal candidate will also hold a valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety and will be experienced in assessing practices, procedures, and carrying out risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities of a Health and Safety Manager:
* Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety and accident prevention.
* Assess equipment and machinery for potential unsafe conditions.
* Implement health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
* Assess risk and ensure adherence.
* Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities.
* Generate reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics.
* Provide recommendations for addressing H&S matters.
* Identify improvement opportunities and implement H&S plans in the workplace in accordance with legal guidelines.
* Investigate accidents or incidents to identify causes and manage worker's compensation claims.
Key Skills of a Health and Safety Manager:
* Previous experience in a Health & Safety position.
* Ability to generate reports and create appropriate H&S policies.
* Knowledge of legal H&S guidelines.
* Exceptional attention to detail and observational abilities.
* Valid certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
* BSc/BA in Safety Management or a related field is desirable
